Nevermore (Maximum Ride 8#) Plot Revealed (Rumour)

So I was doing my general rounds for Nevermore, anxiously checking for some vestige of what going on and while looking at amazon I came across this...

"One last chance...
for Max, Fang, and Dylan...
before it all ends.

Are you ready for the final chapter? Are you ready for the ultimate flight? Because THIS IS IT. One last incredible, explosive adventure with an astonishing ending that no one could have seen coming."

...In the plot section. It has kinda baffled me because not just anyone can add onto Amazon but I have not seen it anywhere else. So this could be our first morsel or just another rumour... seems we will have to wait and see but it sounds professional enough.

UPDATE: here is the link to our post with the cover, synopsis and release date for NEVERMORE. (LINK)

FOUR Hunger Games films planned

Lionsgate has said that if the Hunger Games (1#) experinces success then they will turn the three novels into four movies. This was first reporetd by deadline in a meeting with Wallstreet. And Lionsgate has just confirmed that they had baught the rights for four movies but have yet to say which they will be splitting although it is most likley Mockingjay.
Of course if the first hunger games film does badly there is a chance that all of this will be cancled.

Lets hope not!!!

Lionsgate talks Catching Fire (THG 2#) Movie

Deadline (LINK) has an exclusive report that Lionsgate is looking to the  writer of Slumdog MillionaireSimon Beaufoy to work on Catching Fire.
Here’s what they had to say:
EXCLUSIVE: Lionsgate is getting serious about the second installment of The Hunger Games. The mini-major is courting Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire scribe Simon Beaufoy to write Catching Fire, the second installment of the three book series that tracks the life and death adventures of Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence). I’m told that Gary Ross, who directed The Hunger Games, is coming back for the sequel. He originally intended to write the outline for the second film and script it with author Suzanne Collins (they teamed to do a lot of writing on the first film), but the post production schedule on The Hunger Games has made that difficult. The film opens March 23. There is no start date on the sequel, but it is high priority.  Ross and producers Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik then focused on Beaufoy. Negotiations haven’t begun yet, but Lionsgate is pushing hard for Beaufoy. Aside from Slumdog Millionaire, Beaufoy also scripted 127 Hours, The Full Monty and most recently adapted Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.
Her is a link to one of our other psts with teh exact Catching Fire Movie Release Date. (LINK)

Dreamless (Starcrossed 2#) first ARC giveaway

This is a link to the very first Dreamless (Starcrossed 2#) giveaway by Josephine Angelini herself.

(LINK)

Here is the post:

Here it is… the big salami.  I’m giving away the first DREAMLESS ARC!!!  (I’m so excited I’m having my husband spot me so I don’t hurt myself.)
Okay, so here’s how we’re going to do this giveaway thingy.
You’ve all told me how much you love STARCROSSED, now I need you to tell some strangers how you feel.  I’m not talking about walking up to people in supermarkets, casually reaching past a fellow shopper to grab a can of peas, and saying, “You know what you should read?  STARCROSSED.” (although that would be totally hilarious)
In order to win the first DREAMLESS ARC, you gotta show me some LOVE.  I’m talking about going to sites like AmazonBarnes and NobleGoodreads, etc., and telling others how you felt about STARCROSSED.  It doesn’t have to be a long review.  A couple of sentences will do.  Just be your usual clever selves.
BTW, I’m not trying to make you all jump through hoops, or anything.  I’m only trying to build some buzz before DREAMLESS comes out, so I need all my amazing StarHearts to get out there and TESTIFY!  :D
To enter, all you have to do is the following:
1. Add the link to your review in the comments section of this post. Want to write more than one review?  Don’t be shy.  Just cut and paste.  Each review gets you ONE ENTRY.  The more reviews = the more entries = the better your chances of winning.
2. Want to earn even more entries?  Get a friend to like my Facebook page.  Each friend you bring will equal ONE ENTRY.  Just leave me a comment on myFacebook page and tell me who you brought so I can make sure and credit you.
This contest is international, which means, it’s open to everyone, no matter what country you’re in.
As usual, the winner will be selected at random.  I will even make a video of the drawing.  :)
The deadline to enter is Monday, November 21st at 8pm PST.  The winner will be announced on Wednesday, November 23rd.

If you enter good luck!!

New Book: Bewitching (Kendra Chronicles Book 1) by Alex Flinn

Alex Flinn (author of Beastly and many others) is releasing a new book, Bewitching. They focus around Kendra, a secondary character in his novel Beastly. It is the first book in the Kendra Chronicles and is due to be released February 14th 2012. Here is a blurb about the story written on the authors facebook:

"It is the story of Kendra and her first 300 or so years of life. In Bewitching, Kendra ponders whether to help out a modern day plain-looking stepsister, while also reflecting on her experiences in the 1666 British plague, the court of Louis XV, and on the Titanic."

I adore the cover, Kendra looks perfect and I am very excited to learn more about her history!

Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden Book 1) by Julie Kagawa synopsis and placeholder revealed!

Here is the synopsis and placeholder of the cover for Julie Kagawa's (author of the Iron Fey series) new book: Immortal Rules, Blood of Eden Book 1:

You will kill. The only question is when.

In the dark days since the insidious Red Lung virus decimated the human population, vampires have risen to rule the crumbling cities and suburbs. Uncontested Princes hold sway over diminished ranks of humans: their "pets." In exchange for their labor, loyalty and of course, their blood, these pets are registered, given food and shelter, permitted to survive.

Unregistered humans cling to fringes, scavenging for survival. Allison Sekemoto and her fellow Unregistereds are hunted, not only by vampires, but by rabids, the unholy result of Red Lung-infected vampires feeding on unwary humans. One night, Allie is attacked by a pack of rabids, saved by an unlikely hero...and turned vampire.

Uncomfortable in her undead skin, Allie falls in with a ragtag crew of humans seeking a cure, or cures: for Rabidism and for Vampirism. She's passing for human...for now. But the hunger is growing and will not be denied. Not for friendship—not even for love.

Excerpt of Upcoming Shadow of Night (All Souls Trilogy 2#)

This is a little excerpt from the upcoming book and right now the only part of the upcoming novel that has been released.

"My eyes adjusted to the dim light as I surveyed the room. A substantial bed, small table, narrow benches, and a single chair came into focus. Through the carved uprights supporting the bed's canopy I spied a doorframe that connected this chamber to another room. Light spilled from it onto the coverlet and floor in a misshapen golden rectangle. The walls were covered with the linen-fold panelling that I remembered from the few times I'd visited Matthew's home in present-day Woodstock. Elaborately herringboned bricks lined the chimney, their outlines sharpened by the fire's flames. They looked right, too. Such ornate brickwork would appeal to the stonemason Matthew had once been. Tipping my head back, I saw the ceiling - thickly plastered, coffered into squares, with a splashy red-and-white Tudor rose picked out in gilt in each recess.

'The roses were obligatory when the house was built,' Matthew commented drily. 'I can't stand them. We'll paint them all white at the first opportunity.'

My gaze returned to my husband and I smiled with sudden excitement. 'I really did it. I didn't mess it up, or take us somewhere else like Monticello, or-'

'No,' he said with an answering smile, 'you did beautifully. Welcome to Elizabethan England...'"

Cant wait for this to be released I hope it is just as long as the first.

“Why did you?” Clary asked.

“Why did I what?”

“Help me back there.”

“You’re my sister.”

She swallowed. In the morning light, Sebastian’s face had some color in it. There were faint burns along his neck where demon ichor had splashed him. “You never cared that I was your sister before.”

“Didn’t I?” His black eyes flicked up and down her. “Our father’s dead,” he said. “There are no other relatives. You and I, we are the last. The last of the Morgensterns. You are the only one left whose blood runs in my veins, too. You are my last chance.”

Film Rights to Pure by Julianna Baggott

New Book: Pure by Julianna Baggott

Here is the dish on one of the most anticipated and talked of books being released early 2012. Titles Pure it is by the author Julianna Baggott.

Release Date: 8th February 2012
Pure (Pure #1)
PLOT:
We know you are here, our brothers and sisters . . .
Pressia barely remembers the Detonations or much about life during the Before. In her sleeping cabinet behind the rubble of an old barbershop where she lives with her grandfather, she thinks about what is lost-how the world went from amusement parks, movie theaters, birthday parties, fathers and mothers . . . to ash and dust, scars, permanent burns, and fused, damaged bodies. And now, at an age when everyone is required to turn themselves over to the militia to either be trained as a soldier or, if they are too damaged and weak, to be used as live targets, Pressia can no longer pretend to be small. Pressia is on the run.
Burn a Pure and Breathe the Ash . . .
There are those who escaped the apocalypse unmarked. Pures. They are tucked safely inside the Dome that protects their healthy, superior bodies. Yet Partridge, whose father is one of the most influential men in the Dome, feels isolated and lonely. Different. He thinks about loss-maybe just because his family is broken; his father is emotionally distant; his brother killed himself; and his mother never made it inside their shelter. Or maybe it's his claustrophobia: his feeling that this Dome has become a swaddling of intensely rigid order. So when a slipped phrase suggests his mother might still be alive, Partridge risks his life to leave the Dome to find her.
When Pressia meets Partridge, their worlds shatter all over again.

Just as a side not I adore the cover.

Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore covers released

Here are the recently released (and first) Bitterblue covers by the author Kristin Cashore. This is teh third book in the 7 kingdoms series.

Release Date: May 1st 2012

Here is some information on the soon to be released and highly anticipated book.

"The novel, which has an announced first printing of 200,000 copies and clocks in at a hefty 576 pages, picks up eight years after Graceling, with Bitterblue now 18 and the reigning queen of Monsea. Cashore says the story constitutes more of a companion than a strict sequel. Graceling fans, however, will likely be thrilled to learn that the heroine of that book – the different-colored-eyed Katsa – returns in Bitterblue, as does her lover, Po.
Other characters from Graceling appear, too, most notably (and unavoidably, since he is Bitterblue’s father), the nefarious King Leck, the only character who appears in both Graceling and Fire."
